Thanks! I ultimately decided to find a way to hold on to these and make sacrifices elsewhere. Every time I put these on, I think "I don't see how I could ever part with these..." lol- sp33ls

THE WATERCOOLER HEADPHONE EDITION – Headphones, Amps, DACs, and desktop/home audio related – a freewheeling discussion of gear, impressions, music, and musings.
Agreed. The Atrium Closed is amazing. Once upon a time, I tinkered with EQ. But, I found that I usually desired a modest bass shelf. For some odd reason, EQ hasn't been touched at all lately... >:)- sp33ls

Selling my amazing Blackwood Verites due to downsizing. Original owner, purchased around 6 months ago. There's a light scratch on the bottom of the right cup. This LTD Blackwood is spec'd with the magnesium chassis. Despite being one of the most dense woods available, it's surprisingly lighter...- sp33ls

Parting ways with my lovely Olivewood Atrium Closed due to downsizing. This was purchased at launch (a year ago) and so it includes the exclusive, launch-edition wooden case. I'm including the original contents as shown in the photo. The suede pads were hardly used at all, and the cables have...- sp33ls

ZMF Caldera Closed
Very well done, thank you! The comparison with the Blackwood VC was great for me. Helps ease the FOMO a bit... ;) Nonetheless, I likely won't be able to help myself come ZMF November... I'm excited to read more impressions by happy ZMFans. :)- sp33ls

Pass Labs Whammy Headphone Amp
Can't compare to any Tangents, but what I can say is that the WHAMMY is seriously legit. When built with top-notch components, it belongs in the "high-end" tier.- sp33ls

ZMF Caldera Closed
This is exciting. Can’t wait for your review! It’s interesting, though, your comments make me think of my Verite Closed — emotive, resolving, and not V-shaped.- sp33ls

Swapped to the Caldera Ultra Perf lambs on my VO recently. There's just something so right about this combo, especially for classical / soundtracks.- sp33ls

ZMF Atrium Closed
Yeah, I didn’t really enjoy the AO for Jazz and Classical as much, tbh — the Verite (Open or Closed) absolutely nail those genres better than either of the Atriums (to my ears.) That said, I did find that the AO do vocals with acoustic accompaniment superbly well — better than any headphones...- sp33ls

Criminally underrated OTL amp. It’s a shame that it’s no longer available. Was truly a giant killer for its price.- sp33ls
