Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion

Headband quick and effective fix: I have used car double adhesive tape as it is black and thinner than the regular white tape. Cut three narrow strips and used them at roughly uniform distance along the affected area. One in the center and two towards the sides. First I pushed the...

What Are You Listening To Right Now?

This would be a good listen after (re)watching Jack Black's "School of Rock". 😁 For better or worse, sounds like it was made by them 🤘

Enjoy! And may thy headband NOT chip and shatter 😅 And talking about the headband, I may have found a non-invasive fix, I'll say more in one week, see if it's effective.

    Sennheiser HD 598 Impressions Thread

Yeah, same here, I first had the HD 598SE, and some years later I bought the HD 6XX. The 6XX has become my main home headphone, paired with the iFi micro iDSD Black Label - this dac-amp does wonders for the 6XX, especially engaging the bass switch when the recording is lacking in bass. The 6XX...

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion

It looks like my battery issue described here https://www.head-fi.org/threads/bowers-and-wilkins-px8-wireless-discussion.964955/post-18001004 sorted itself out because last two charges went normally with consumption and level indication. I suspect my issue occurred after connecting the...

Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion

Yesterday I tried to separate the headband top/bottom parts using a prying tool - no luck. Didn't apply to much force though - afraid not to break something. I tried starting from the middle and from the side as well. Maybe I will try some other time when I feel more courageous...

What Are You Listening To Right Now?

I really like what they've done with the "Machine Head" remixes. I compared passages of the remixes with the original remasters and the stage and layout of the instruments and vocals are very different, sounds "current" in a good way. I remember having the same feeling with "Marillion -...

I can now see clearly what is there because I have 3 inches length of exposed foam in all it's "glory" 😅 The adhesive trace looks more like a heated-sticking-process / vulcanization or something like that. Don't know exactly how it's called. Not much adhesive just more shiny.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

I owned the PX7 (v1) and now PX8, and on both when using the headphone buttons, the volume is more granular than using Android device volume buttons. I'd say they have double the volume steps vs. Android default. Don't know anything about iOS.
