Awesome deal for sure. 100% agree. I only brought it up because in the audiophile community, for whatever reasons (I honestly do not remember) - the 660S, which happens to be the only 150Ω model, was not loved. Not saying there is a 1:1 correlation, but it sure is a potential root cause there...

@Jermo K / @ericpalonen - can you reveal any reasoning or thought behind making the HD620S impedance 150Ω as opposed to 300Ω? The only not-very-popular 600 series was the original HD660S which happened to be 150Ω... I am not saying that was its downfall, but HD660S2 changed (among other things)...

Have you tried UAPP by any chance? This is my favorite music app for Android. Also, what about Roon? I would love to be able to use this little guy as Roon control interface. I will not even bother installing a SIM card ;-)

Exactly! For those who prefer a better or cheaper phone plus external dongle - this one is not for you.

Just give it a try and see if UAPP gives error message or not. My guess is UAPP won't recognize the DAC, but the developer can (likely) add support in a pinch.

@atechreviews can you try installing UAPP on the phone? If UAPP reports the HW is not supported - try contacting the (SUPER responsive and nice) UAPP developer. When I got the iBasso DX260 DAP, it was not supported by UAPP... 2 days later - I had a beta version from him that worked like a charm...

Interesting use case (for me): Forget about SIM card, disable cellular functionality, and use it as a Roon controller (instead of a tablet). Bonus functionality: stick a 1TB microSD card, and use as a DAP (running UAPP). Maybe for my next international vacation, I can use it as a dedicated...

Did you ask Penon to skip the black paracord? I believe Totem cable / interconnect is covered in black paracord (which is a shame, because your interconnect is so much nicer looking!)
