We called it IPX as the system is the first known to us to be IP-67 certified being a water-proof spec. Also keep in mind that the UE SuperBax cable is not a cheap cable. Estron market the previous generation of the able under their Linum brand, it retailed over $200. Thank you for your support as always!- VL

Thank you! We made the decision to move away from the 2-pin more than a year ago and decided to partner with Estron to develop something more reliable. The failure rate on standard 2-pin type connectors are just too high and we had to do something about it.- VL

Hi everyone, the 3rd gen 18+ has 2 of our updated True Tone Plus tweeters, sensitivity of the earphones also changed as well. Technically everything shipping after April 11th should be updated to the new version.- VL

Yes, you are correct, they do not have the right information in this case. The 4000s and other over-the-ear headphones by UE have been discontinued for a few years now. We are expecting a shipment landing next week and we will be able to fulfill orders again on pro.ultimateears.com. Thanks...- VL
