Almost had to buy a 2nd set of ER-4Ps...
Two days ago I heard a *click* sound from the right phone while listening to music on the computer. After that the sound from that side was muffled and much softer. A few minutes later, both sides started exhibiting this. I was left with a pair of PX100s that sounded amazing in comparison to my...- gshan

nm, resolved - trouble with accessing PayPal website
Is anyone here running Firefox able to get to PayPal.com today? I'm able to access via Microsft IE, but not FF. I'm thinking that my "speed" tweaks in the Firefox settings aren't being accepted by PayPal anymore. *shrugs*- gshan

Anyone watch "The Unit" on CBS?
Only about 80 million bullets were fired in tonight's episode. I don't think I've ever seen this much gunfire in a tv show before. Nevermind whatever message the writers were trying to portray with the Pakistani(?) prisoners or the incompetent Sgt., tonight was just damn entertaining. It...- gshan

Get ready for the Fremont A's and Santa Clara 49ers
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercu...l/15968292.htm It's been talked about for a while now, and looks like the Oakland Athletics are moving to a southern Bay Area location. The current Coliseum location is nice because it has it's own train station adjacent to it. A team with one of the...- gshan

Experienced renters, I could use some input
Does the landlord usually take something (or everything) out of the deposit when a 1 year or more contract is over? I have a college friend that just moved out of an apartment complex with a $1,500 deposit and the owner of the whole place kept every penny. This friend spot cleaned and wiped...- gshan

Shure foamies in Boston, MA?
Hi, I'm leaving in a few days for my sister's graduation from Wellesley and just realized that I need a new set of foamies for my Shure E2's. Shipping from an online dealer would most likely be too late. Does anyone know of any retail stores in Boston that carry these? Close to subway and...- gshan

car alarms - what can be done?
What can I do about neighborhood car alarms that go off in the middle of the night that don't stop? The worst was a year ago some punk's alarm blasted for 3-4 hours straight. Can I call 911 for these situations, or is there a better solution? I'm sure you NYC-ers have a lot of experience with...- gshan

How well does the MS-2 handle classical or ambient/electronica?
Does anyone prefer the MS-2 for classical or electronica over other popular open cans near this range? (ex: DT880, HD580/600/650, AKG 501/601/701) If yes, why? I'll be quite honest...the MS-1s blew my socks off with its presentation of bass and female vocals. The overall clarity did leave...- gshan

Does anyone wet their foamies?
I tried the lick the pinky then make contact with IEM tip trick, and it works really well! No more "rock and roll" needed after foamy insertion into the canal. Just one quick slide-in, granted I still compressed the foam between fingers first and then applied the spit.- gshan

I obtained this fairly good conditioned 1997 unit from a friend today. -was hoping it would be a D-465 though, since I've heard some good things about that similar looking model on these forums. If K701 > K501 , what about K601 ?
With the K601 priced between, is it at least significantly better SQ than K501? Right now K601 reminds me of SA3k...the best looking out of a trio, but unfortunately a neglected middlechild some current prices (let me know if there's cheaper) B&H K701 - $286.xx K701 (reference...- gshan
