Advanced Search: Search classifieds listings - not working as intended
Hi y'all, Do any of you have the same issue when searching for an item on head-fi and specifying where the seller ships the item to, and the search doesn't acknowledge the locations you've selected? When I select Anywhere and Europe, I still get results from sellers that only Ship To the US...- burningv

Battery & screws replacement of iFi iDSD Black Label
Hi Y'all, My Black Label is well out-of-warranty, but trying to get this serviced to have the battery and screws replaced is a complete joke. I initially messaged iFi's support mid-December to have them replace my battery. Their Technical Support Assistant, Jon, responded to my query and asked...- burningv

AEON, MrSpeakers' New Closed Back Planar Magnetic Headphone
I recently replaced the ear pads on my Aeon Flow Closed and found that black felt pads had been installed underneath them. I bought 'em used and believe they're from the first production line batch. Is this normal? Maybe the previous owner wanted even more bass so he decided to install there...- burningv

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
I think the problem here is that you identify the production in those raw recordings as a flaw, but that's exactly what most find appealing, and I certainly wouldn't have them any other way. If I wanted squeaky clean recordings, I'd listen to another genre. Some of the albums that you listed...- burningv

What a terrible opinion. Pleasure to Kill has amazingly raw production which is perfectly suitable for this kind of Thrash.- burningv

Thanks for confirming my thoughts. I guess I'll save up for the Eikon now. I know the Auteur has the same driver as the Eikon, but how similar is the Eikon to it?- burningv

Hi Hansotek, Thank you for your input. Would you say that the Atticus would be able to keep up with the albums I've mentioned if it's paired up with a GOTL or the CSP3? I just don't want it to have a warm mushy bloated sound. As you probably know some metal albums have sufficient bass, don't...- burningv

Thanks very much for the advice, Monster. I live with my wife who hates the kind of music I listen to, so an open-back headphone is a no-go for me, unfortunately. It appears that the Eikon may be the most proficient closed-back headphone on the market for fast metal at the moment, so I may...- burningv

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
I'm contemplating on saving up for either the Atticus or the Eikon, which of the two is better for faster metal i.e. thrash, death, and black? I hear conflicting opinions regarding the Atticus: some say it's fast and punchy with the right amp, others say it's slow and muddy. Here are some...- burningv

Could anyone let me know how the Cascade handles Death, Thrash, and Black Metal? These are my favourite metal subgenres, and I hope that the rich bass of the Cascade won't slow down even the most obscenely fast and aggressive tracks.- burningv
