Considering they safe threshold is allegedly 85db for extended listening, how loud do you find yourself setting your volume on your phone or other audio player? What tips do you have for maximizing your listening enjoyment while also preserving your hearing? 

I've read mixed things around the Internet about the considered impact of IEM's on hearing. Is the consensus still that IEM's are safer due to higher isolation and clarity, leading to less volume being used?

Thanks for the replies everyone. After watching some YouTube videos and the like, some others have a similar crease. Seems normal I guess. I guess I'm just being picky. Otherwise they seem great even without burn in yet.
