Sennheiser CX985 Review
A study hall is a set class period in which you are supposed to do work, so yes, basically a library. And no, they didn't yell at all. Only had one complaint and that was in Chemistry and during a test.- 50SEVEN

Sennheiser CX985 Review
No, I definitely noticed. But for the most part I was using them in quiet rooms, such as study halls, or when I was done with a test. I had several complaints about sound leakage and when I would listen to them during lunch I had to have them all the way up. This was my first set of open...- 50SEVEN

I would like some input on a good pair of portable IEM or Headphones ($125-150, $200 max if worth it)
Quote: Future Sonic's site only shows the M5s in there shop... Also, that coupon code is invalid.- 50SEVEN

I realize this is an old thread, but that's a good thing. It means you've had these for quite some time. How durable are they?- 50SEVEN

Sennheiser CX985 Review
Yes, I did. As you can imagine, it wasn't the best idea ever. I've broken two cables and some of the paint is chipped. However the sound is still just as amazing (when amped).- 50SEVEN

Hello, I am currently in the market to buy a pair of portable headphones. I've been using my Sennheiser HD600 on the go, and as you can imaging, that's not working out to well. I need something that can be powered by an MP3 player or phone without the use of a portable amp. I have a budget of...- 50SEVEN

Sennheiser CX985 Review
Thank you for this well written review. I've been looking on this site for the past few days for a review on these IEM's, but I must have skipped over it several times. I'm currently in the market for a more portable, higher end (not quite audiophile, budget restrictions) headphone or earphone...- 50SEVEN

"The Studios might be their ticket to the Audiophiles' world, then they might discover the M50s, HD800s, the Grado" I agree with this statement completely, as it is my story. My friend had/has a pair that I used to listen to during lunch. At that point they WERE the best headphones I had used...- 50SEVEN

Advice on choosing new headphones!
Quote: I'll have to check them out. I've been mostly looking at appearance because I figured I couldn't get anything nearly as great as my HD600's in this price range. So the field in which I've been looking is basically all commercial.- 50SEVEN

Advice on choosing new headphones!
As I just mentioned, I am looking in the same field. Here's a few that I've been looking at (mind you I've been looking mostly at design right now, but they have some decent sound.) Monster'Diesel- Vektr These headphones were a collaboration between Monster (the makers of Beats by Dre) and...- 50SEVEN

Advice on choosing new headphones!
Quote: There's enough of a difference between the two though. I'm currently looking for a new pair of more portable headphones in the same price range as this fellow, same standards too. If it weren't for the 10ft cable I'd have chosen them.- 50SEVEN

Advice on choosing new headphones!
From what I've heard in another sites DJ forums, the Sony MDR-V600 offer a very high quality bass while having a modest and complimenting middle and upper levels. I can't offer any personal experience with them, but they are priced around $70 and as I said, I have read nothing but good things...- 50SEVEN

Third person opinion on some headphone choices.
Thank you for your response. I noticed you owned (I believe that's what the models listed in small print under your post are) a pair of the V moda CrossfadeLP M100. May I ask what your opinions are on sound quality?- 50SEVEN

Third person opinion on some headphone choices.
Hello, Currently I am in the market for a new pair of headphones, a pair in which I can carry around with me outside of my house. Currently I have a pair of Sennheiser HD600s, and I must say I absolutely love them! However, they are 300Ω headphones and therefor need some form of amplification...- 50SEVEN
