Maybe a silver cable will do the trick for keeping the Saber + DDs from being too bassy.- Jmop

The R4 has a neat look, I dig it, but maybe not so comfy in hand. Maybe I’ll just stick with my Saber for now, it has an agreeable punchy sound, and power is just right for IEMs. The increase in power from the 2022 version and proceeding DAPs from HiBy might even be less ideal for IEMs since you...- Jmop

I don’t think I’ve tried Cadenza balanced though and I don’t have them anymore, does it clean up well?- Jmop

I thought the Allure was a direct upgrade from Cadenza sound but looks like you can’t get them as readily anymore. I was gonna sell mine but I think the right earpiece is faulty.- Jmop

Comment by 'Jmop' on listing 'KiiBOOM Allure'
I might be taking this listing down since I’m noticing the right earpiece is showing less sound pressure.- Jmop

Threw a 2.5mm on the Tigerism Octave and now being driven by the original H3 Pro Saber and now I see why it comes with a balanced cable only, albeit 4.4mm. Upper mids are less edgy, and your general better separation that comes with balanced, but also the pacing is improved. The Allure on the...- Jmop

Does the FiiO KA2 keep up in sound quality with the new dongles coming out for an affordable 4.4mm with low noise floor and lighting compatibility? I’m aware it’s power output is limited, not a concern.- Jmop

Do headphones that have the cable exiting only one ear cup need be completely re-wired from the inside to run balanced or can I just throw a balanced cable on there?- Jmop

I’m gonna keep this running to see if burn in does anything, and still keep hopes up for balanced since that can tighten up the upper mids to treble transition sometimes.- Jmop

I’d probably still recommend the Tigerism Octave for bass fans since it moves some serious air and if 4k energy doesn’t bother you. Ugh, it’s so close for me to have as single DD standard if it weren’t for that little uptick at 4k. Staging and separation is good, timbre is great, comfort no...- Jmop

There is a bit too much energy at 4k which I was worried about on the graph, but I’m hearing a lot of things right with this set, that bass is meaty!- Jmop

10 mins in, are they shouty? They might be shouty.. but so musical and spacious that I want to turn it up, and treble timbre is better than the slight metallic tinge the Allure had. Miike Snow’s first album is a bit shouty to be fair.- Jmop
