Look! MOONDROP's First HiFi Smartphone, MIAD01

I wouldn't assume a 4.4mm jack operates in "true" balanced mode. One of the great features of the 4.4mm spec is that is supports both SE and balanced.

Look! MOONDROP's First HiFi Smartphone, MIAD01

Price is definitely attractive and audio quality will likely be better than any dongle. However this is neither a full featured smartphone or a full featured DAP so not sure how big of a market this really creates. By "full featured" I mean the respective mass market priorities for smartphones...

DX320 ROHM dac chips, Android 11, AMP11MK2s. *******NEW FW: 2.07*******

On the topic of new model, it seems the latest trends for DAPs are: More AKM4499EX options Discrete R2R DACs Sub-miniature tubes Limited editions (AK have been doing this for a while though) No opinion on AKM4499EX from me since I've yet to listen to one. Tthe discrete R2R DACs are...

No worries, I don't feel there is disagreement on the "theory". We are both speculating on what DX320 has built into hardware battery charging limits. Until there is a definitive answer from DX320, we are all free to assume whatever makes sense to us. Personally, I enable 80% charge limit which...

Sure, if iBasso decided to call 80% charge 100%, then yes 80% charge limit is a pointless feature because that just lowers to 60% which does not give any meaningful long term benefits versus 80%. That being the case, why would iBasso implement the charge limit feature if the DX320 already limits...

That is not correct. Charging your LiON battery to 100% accelerates the degradation faster than leaving it at 80% regardless of your usage pattern. iPhones for example will watch your usage pattern and charge to only to 80% when it thinks you don't need a full charge. While you are technically...

It is impossible for the 4.4mm Pentaconn to short unless the socket is damaged. Look at the pin out and you will see the obvious design.

Cayin C9: Dual Nutube, Fully Balanced Class A/AB Portable HeadAmp

That rules out the ground as the problem. If your temporary solution is to keep the button depressed, you run the risk of the protection circuitry not able to protect a "real" problem. I would ask Cayin to give you another battery module to try out.

Cayin C9: Dual Nutube, Fully Balanced Class A/AB Portable HeadAmp

Are you using the same power supply for your C9 and analog source? The two cannot share the same ground or it will trip the protection circuitry. You can test this by making sure there is no USB cable connected to the C9 while in use.

I am also on the latest firmware. I should be more specific - when you hold an app icon and move it, you get different options at the top of the screen. I usually see both Remove (upper left) and Uninstall (upper right). In some cases I only see "Remove" but I have not seen an option only for...

Touch the app icon that you want to remove until you see "My Apps" option. Drag the icon over "My Apps" and you will see two options at the top of the screen "Remove" and "Uninstall". "Remove" does just that, deletes the icon without uninstalling the app. If you want to access the app later...

Looking at the specs for wireless you have two options: 1) Subscribe to Roon - this is expensive but the 205 is Roon ready and many here on Headfi say the price is worth it for Roon. 2) The 205 supports DLNA. There are numerous app players that support DLNA so you could try some. I've used the...

If you are trying to use the USB digital out to your UDP-205 digital input, any player app should work. I use DX320 to send digital out to a Schitt Bifrost without issue using Apple Music.

Manually copy your entire library for initial sync. Your incremental sync after that should not be a problem at all. This is the recommended approach to all folder syncing apps. Having said that, whenever you add incremental files to your NAS, it's pretty simple just to copy the files to your...

64 Audio | VAC Pro - maintenance tool for all in-ear devices

Well, if you have a couple IEM/CIEMs that cost a couple grand each, this is nothing. On the flip side, I've used Jodi Vac for over 5 yrs and replacement parts are easy to get since this was designed for hearing aids. If this was available when I was looking for vacuum, I would have bought it...

Shanling ET3 - Dedicated Digital CD Transport, With USB Drive and Wi-Fi Support

Considering that a CD cost about $15-20 USD in 1990 dollars back then, you always listened to the entire album. I know some of my personal favorite songs were never in the top 40. This is the biggest change versus today IMHO. On the other hand, I could only afford to own a small fraction of the...

True, there will always be the "core" features that everyone wants, but then the users start to get splintered into those like me that only want to pay for what I need (Liberty Mutual LOL) while others want more and more included. At least iBasso doesn't do what Apple does - remove all...

Welcome to the club! To answer your questions: - It is unlikely that iBasso will upgrade to Android 12 due to the amount of custom development for audio quality - Battery life is not the strongest feature of the DX320 as the battery system is designed for audio quality. - I use Apple Music...

Since there are no industry standard pin out for 3.5mm coax, you could get a digital to digital converter that takes USB input and outputs coax and/or optical. This would be a better solution since you could add an OTG power splitter to your DX320 so you can keep your DX320 battery topped off...

Make sure you have a firmware version that supports this feature or just use the latest version. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver (default is disabled, so just enable) Above Battery Saver, you will see Battery Manager. That one is just managing apps and what to do on low battery.
