Dont consider grado gr10e for travelling, very horrible isolation due to extremely open and "speaker" like sound. I personally didnt like massdrop plus as well, lacks a lot of bass thought the fit is extremely comfortable.

Thought I'd chime in a bit as well since I managed to try the IER M7 today... Its quite similar to the xba z5 tbh. Main differences are M7 has lesser sub bass than Z5 but M7 mid bass still punches bass hard if not as hard as the Z5. Then we have the vocals, can't really remember the key...

I can't really give a definite comment on that as my brief listen was quite long ago but from my memory it has sufficient sub bass for me

F9 Pro has the most similar signature to denon/fostex sound, tfz king pro isn't very exciting to listen to so might not be what you are looking for, while ibasso IT01 is indeed V-shaped but warmer and fuller than F9 Pro. IMO comes down to a preference between fuller IT01 or more trebly F9 Pro

Honestly go for KZ. Soundmagic has passed its prime and cant compete anymore in the chifi world... For example I have an E10, but the ZST destroys them IMO.

I swapped my Muses8920 for a NE5532 op amp on a DIY'ed aliex dac/amp and the resolution became worse with more noise.. Maybe muses8920 might help you, or if you can spend more maybe the muses 01/02. Best is to check the opamp thread
