It's a different presentation on each firmware, it's not an upgrade so to say as with other products firmware rather it's a matter of taste.

It's an exotic pioneer a400 which has been converted into a power amp. The HD250 requires some juice to sound good.

The HD800 has no competitors for gaming but the HD250 does well. The cma800i was great, feliks echo mk2 was also good. Currently I run them with my vintage power amp and I love it.

I consider them to be jack of all trades, they've been my mainly for everything.

That would be worse.. It's not only about cleaning the power which each device does by itself, it's also presenting a specific presentation which each firmware is affecting, the result would be funky.
