There are a number of inexpensive 6922 offerings. But I did find one for sale that cost far more than either version of the CTH. I think I can hold off on that one.

I almost ordered the original CTH but held off. Then Massdrop offered the CTH + SDAC version and I felt that it was a very good option for me, as I'm new to this headphone game and didn't have a standalone amp or DAC.

Have you re-checked the cable connections? Similarly, have you tried a different cable to rule out a a bad or open connection somewhere in the cable itself? If the cable isn't at fault and the headphone is still under warranty, contact HiFiMan or perhaps the dealer you purchased the headphones...

What accessories will come with the GT-R? Obviously, a cable is one item but will the headphones come with a carrying case or protective bag? I've never had a planar headphone but given that I have had very good experiences with Advanced products in the past, I put in an order through Kickstarter.

My wife and I had some issues trying to get V1.1.3 to download on our Accessports. But we both eventually got the update loaded. We hadn't experienced any issues in light usage before V1.1.3.
