Shanling M0 Pro - Ultra-Portable Hi-Fi Player, Now With Balanced Output!

OK it works now... previously that failed, I used Sandisk Ultra 128GB, with space just left out about 40MB. I tried again just now with Sandisk Ultra 64GB, with space left about 70MB. This time it works. You right.. maybe it need more space to inflate files while installing. This is not...

Hi @Shanling rep, I try to install the firmware 1.4 on my M0 Pro (currently 1.3) but got the "FV checking error" and cannot proceed. I already tried to download from PC and Android phone . Compared them with MD5, extract with different software, the result are the same. Copy them to my microSD...

correct, CP100 help on IEM with short nozzle like Blon BL03. The little V-shape profile of CP100 on Aurora balancing them by pushing lower the the midbass and low mid on Aurora, basically make it more flatter (not flat but flatter) sounding IEM. Aurora technicalities really brought up well this...

strangely, CP100 on Aurora bring out the opposite results: it tame the 'wilder' side of bass on Aurora, it widen out the stage..

Update on KBEar Aurora: last week, I tried Spinfit CP100 tips on my Aurora and enjoy the combo so much.. (org CP100, not plus) To my ears, CP100 transform Aurora to become more balanced, highly technical IEM but still fun. Lesser mid-bass, but still warm enough. I did not try CP100 earlier...

World music and Jazz Fusion melange

Last night I found "Brother Jack McDuff Quartet". Why I did never heard him and the quartet before... it is in fact this is the group from where George Benson starting his career seriously before his solos... (and he was already excellent 10-20 years before his peak on 70's-80's) it is...

    Earbuds Round-Up

seemed like good dedicated R&D... I wonder what they are trying to do... with such a small room and short distance... it couldn't be a transmission line labyrinth... since transmission line labyrinth need to be in between 1/4 to 1/2 wavelength of resonant frequency... (which mean in meters...

I can't find anything I like more than the starfields yet, help me out here

I don't have Believe to compare with... but Aurora to my ears is not a V shape..., it sounded more like W shape since it is a little bit of intimate/forward/close sounding 'neutral' in terms of distance... not far but also not too forward... 'soundstage' thus would not be that big... (NOTE: I...

I can't find anything I like more than the starfields yet, help me out here

you might be want to check KB Ear Aurora, it is livelier Harmanish tuned... IMI it could match your requirements... (sufficient bass push, excellent male vocal) if you check the graph, don't worry with 8KHz peak... because Aurora has 5KHz notch as well that will overall balance the treble...

I forgot toe mention actually after a day burned in (or my brain adjusted to it)... it does not sound boomy or low register colored in general anymore, only on certain tracks that seemed recorded too warm (such as the old Chet Baker mono vocal tracks...) at the other side, I'm not generally...

Q5K 'sound' is not totally neutral... I think it is a bit bumped up on the lower mid and bit of rolled of high. They market it as Reference DAC/Amp, but never mentioned that it would be neutral nor that they target it to audiophiles looking for true to the source sound. Maybe they make it to be...
