General Information
FEATURES
As they saying goes “All Good Things Come in Threes” so as not to disappoint our range topping DP20 completes our trio of players. So how did our team improve on the already acoustical treat of the DP10? The answer, Twins! The DP-20 incorporates twin AD8610 high precision JFET input amplifiers. Utilising twin amplifiers provides a natural sound and results in more detail across the frequency range. Not only does the AD8610 work as a low pass filter, but twin WM8740’s, stereo DAC chipsets, form the core section of whole audio circuit. Combining the two results in deep and rounded bass notes with highly accurate mid to high range frequencies, the whole soundstage becomes more musical in performance and delivers excellent sonic reproduction. Supporting Hi-Res files AIFF, WAV, FLAC, APE, WMA, M4A, AAC, DSD, DFF, ISO the DP-20 is fully equipped for your enjoyment.
KEY COMPONENTS
The AD8610 amplifiers are a very high precision JFET input amplifiers featuring ultralow offset voltage and drift, very low input voltage and current noise, very low input bias current, and wide bandwidth. Unlike many JFET amplifiers, the AD8610 input bias current is low over the entire operating temperature range.
WM8740
The WM8740 is a stereo digital/analogue converter (DAC) that supports a SPI-compatible serial control interface to support on-chip mute, attenuation and phase reversal, as well as a hardware controllable interface. This device accepts data input from 16 to 24-bits and sampling rates up to 192 kHz. The WM8716 also includes a digitally controllable mute and attenuator function on each channel. An internal digital filter has two selectable roll-off characteristics. A sharp or slow roll-off can be selected dependent on application requirements, or it can be bypassed and an external digital filter used instead Cirrus Logic.
