Bose Noise-Masking Sleepbuds

General Information

They look like tiny headphones, but Bose noise-masking sleepbuds™ are uniquely designed for sleep. They don’t stream music or have acoustic noise cancellation. Instead, they use pre-loaded, soothing masking sounds to cover up unwanted nighttime noises so you can get to sleep and stay asleep.

Sleep. Finally.

We’ve all been there. Those nights when you just can’t sleep because annoying sounds—like snoring, traffic and loud neighbors—are keeping you awake. So we decided to do something about it—by creating sleepbuds with built-in noise-masking technology. Designed for comfort, these tiny, truly wireless sleepbuds deliver uniquely engineered sounds that mask unwanted noise and lull you to sleep. So you can wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day.

A better solution for unwanted noise
Instead of streaming music, Bose sleepbuds deliver soothing sounds that mask unwanted nighttime noises. And while we’re the first to champion the use of active noise reduction, we discovered that, when it comes to sleep, noise-masking technology is a better solution for the range of sounds that keep you awake — especially voice-based frequencies. So all you will hear is a soothing sound that helps you fall asleep and stay asleep.

One app for better rest

Getting to sleep is hard enough. So we designed the Bose Sleep app to make it easy to set up and customize your sleep settings. Just download the app, select a soothing sound, choose your volume level and determine how long you want to use your sleepbuds during the night. Use the same settings every night, or experiment with different options to find what works for you. You can also use the Bose Sleep app to set wake-up alarms that only you can hear.

DISCOVER THE SOUNDS

Enjoy the rhythm of rolling waves crashing on a beach. Let yourself be lulled by the gentle rustle of leaves. Feel the crackling comfort of a campfire and the evening serenade of crickets. Choose from a library of soothing sounds that have been specially designed to support a restful night's sleep. Whether you want sounds that mask unwanted noise or just something to relax to — it's up to you.

Here are a few examples of the sounds you can enjoy. New sounds will be continually added through future software updates.

Engineered for comfort
No two ears are alike. That’s why we took scores of three-dimensional scans of ear geometry and used them to create a tiny earbud nodule that’s barely larger than a pea. The sleepbuds come with three sizes (S/M/L) of StayHear+ Sleep tips and are designed with a pliable fin that conforms to the upper ridge of your ear. Sleepbuds will fit comfortably in your ear all night long.

But the right fit is critical to their performance. So, before you snuggle into your pillow or stretch out and hog all the covers, check out our support video to ensure you get the right fit.

Much more than a case
This combination storage and charging case protects and recharges your sleepbuds while not in use. It’s magnetized, so it keeps your earbuds in place while they charge. And when unplugged, the case also delivers one additional full charge, perfect for when you’re on the go.

First off I feel duped, from one month ago when I first hear of them all the way up until I put them in my ears I though they were noise canceling, I read noise masking and just figured they must be a higher version of noise canceling. Should have said "noise machine ear buds" would have made more sense. They are not, just plays sounds to mask noise. I bought only because I use a noise canceling set in one ear as I sleep, wanted these to have both ears. I feel stupid now, there is no way to fit all that tech into such a tiny thing.

Good. Excellent piece of technology. Nice case, could have skipped the fancy power adapter to save money. They are awesome for just having a tiny in ear noise machine. Even though not noise canceling "noise masking" has a good home in tiny ear buds.

Bad. Sleeping on your side is painful to your ear laying on the earbud, even though say state "comfortable even sleeping on side". I figured as much since all the pictures they show people not laying on their ears, who sleeps on their side like that?? Stupid overlook of two things. Silicone tips ear flange should be spun about 20 degrees and ear wing should be back about 40 degrees. The way it is it is "jarred" in your ear, ears fatigue after about an hour and you get that annoying skin burn like all other bose flange tips. This would be fixed if they offer new ear tips without flange like their old headphone models, fingers crossed. Again laying on your side issue, housing plastic rubs against any cloth and makes a sticking rubbing noise as you breath(for me anyways), this basically makes it unusable. I have a microfiber cloth I used and that stops it, but again the ear bud is too thick anyways and I can't ever use them for sleeping on my side so useless that way. They are $250 msrp. I won an auction at $200 for a new set on ebay, on the wall at even that price.

Sorry I know I am not summarizing enough.

App is nice, sounds are top notch. They are coming out with many new sounds, however I had to delete three of the original to get one of their new ones, so may require more space for others if they ran out of quality sound with low memory usage.

Every time I have to finick with with atleast one ear bud to get it to charge in the case. Had several connection issue's, pulling the ear bud in and out of the case to get it to connect and had to reinstall the app once, I have only used them for a week. I have faith in bose to fix things like this though.

Anyways there are a lot of bad things that can be said, they are so tiny I say it is the best they could do.

Based on the way the ear is there is no reason these, or anything is not half as thick will every let you sleep on your side without a hard plastic thing jabbing into your skull all night long. Using them while sleeping is their sales pitch, and people obviously deal with it with all the reviews but not me. Only would recommend if you like tech and can use for a neat little stress relief thingie.

Bought them for my fiancé

She like them. But a bit complex to use / care for.

Haven't used them a lot but good to have.

As a gadget fan these are nifty!
