Big Hybrid
Pros: Good clean sounding, bass is speedy and precise, mids are clear, good details throughout.
Accessoires are plentiful.
Cons: Switches are tiny can be confusing to new audiophiles. This IEM is on the larger size so tiny ears beware.

Sound:
The VZ10 Bass is nibble and light, it is more a quality Bass than quantity. It is both neutral and detailed, with a good Mid-Bass punch.
Mids on the VZ10 are forward center and have a decent body but can be a little thin, they have a nice neutral quality and are never harsh. There is fine details in upper and lower Midrange but female vocals have a more pleasant tone.
Treble has a great extension and clarity. Its airy and well detailed with a slight sharpness but it's not too unforgiving.
Soundstage is equally wide as it is long and is deep, it's a natural field that works well. much detail and separation make it pretty good compared to others.

Afterthoughts:
The Joyodio VZ10, is an excellent choice for a good all-around non offence daily driver.

Sound Impression :

Technically good, well tuned and Versatile tuning [with 8 switch version]

Overall Tonality and Timbre
– Sound Signature is warm with good Weight Tone and Clarity. Overall is Well Balanced tuned set, organic and natural, clean and clear.

Bass – Bass transient speed is fast and snappy and clean, on the leaner side, well controlled and accurate, kick drum and strikes are precise. Sounds natural and organic, DD Bass Rumble and thump is sufficient on neutral setting.

Mids – Male and Female vocals are organic natural sounding, forward sounding with good weight tone and clarity.

Treble - Instruments separation and imaging are clear and concise, accurate and precise, cymbals and high hats are good, have good micro details and nuances.

Soundstage is good in width, depth and height.

Fit and isolation is ok on my average ear.

Coherence of DD and BAs are quite good.

All testing are done using the stock tips and cable

Joyodio VZ10 with 8 switch [USD79.00 currently]

Comparison to

FiiO FH5 [USD299.00]

FiiO FH5 bass is a little bit shy compared to the VZ10, VZ10 bass have slightly more body and weight. Due to the dampening of the BAs, on same volume, FH5 will sound louder. If VZ10 volume is tuned up to match FH5, it may seems the Knowles BAs of FH5 may be more open and at same time may sounds more bright and sibilant.

Final Thoughts

Joyodio VZ10 is tuned pretty well and do not have sibilance which is what I like about it. In terms of Bass, mids and treble, I will say it is very safe tuning most people will not find offensive. At this price point, it is worth consideration if looking for a 1DD+4BAs.
