New Head-Fier
Their still work te be done
One of the newer releases from Xinhs named the HS06 they try to make steps into the IEM world in place of the Cable world. I have to say they might have a ‘wonky’ graph. I have burned them for +70h. They are making steps forward. There are definitely points that they can work on. Without a doubt but it is kinda the first one that i can say that is okay leaning to the good side even. Let’s dive a little deeper.

Shell Design now I'm looking in the booklet that they gave me with the box. yea i’m reading the ****ing manual and trying to bring it over as good as i can. The design was inspired by a Mutton Jade gemstone. Was is a rare type of jade we all know Jade as that typical green color a Mutton Jade is rare. they wanted to give it a type of luxury for the shell. It seems like milky white. They use resin to build what is okay. They topped the shell with a silvery white cover.

The tuning concept that they wanna get across was luxury coupled with a High Fidelity sound to it. So they're using the DD to handle the low 1 BA (Mid) 2 BA’s (High’s). They wanted to try to keep it smooth balance sound across their 3 ranges, The lows the is full and deep, quick in rebound The mids frequenties shut have for them appropriate distance and thickness, suitable for both male and female vocals, The highs are smooth, stopping precisely at the point of attack, effectively controlling sibilance. Allowing the HS06 to handle various styles of music.

Tonality I don't know how to name these to be fair. They feel kinda V shapie but also they have a lift in the mids. Some songs feel flat- ish, others have a real depth and stage to them. They kinda feel monitors like good in good out, bad records bad playback. Can’t give this child a name there odd and wonky but somehow it kinda works at the same time.

Bass: The attack and decay are decent. There is a nice body to the bass and mid bass. it doesn't really bleed into the mids. They learned to put in a vent this time. They learned from their other sets what is good to see them improve! Is the best I have heard but I didn't expect that along with seeing progress I'm happy and I can say over the older sets they made some moves. It had a body when a bass drop hits it also with some authority that I expect from the song. Even on my guitar the lower notes were fine. The bass didn’t linger very long in my ears that why it get a decent for the attack and decay

Mids: Euhmm something is a little off here on my acoustic guitar. playing through the notes from 300 to 800hz where playing back like most other IEM’s but when i went to the normal notes at 800 to 1khz i heard the ear gain already. no joke i was surprised in the mids to find the start of the ear gain already but then i went further up and it said the same. So everything in the music from around 1K is already boosted up. I have to say with making the jump so early they made a very mid centric set. But yet the vocals still jump out depending on the recording. Some recordings of the voice are placed a little in the back and then they will sound flat with all the other instruments going on at the same time. This is gonna make or break this IEM. For some but they're on the good track as well have listened to their other sets. It’s an odd way of doing mids but I can see it working for country music who thrives in the mids. Vocals both Male and Female were fine like i can’t find many faults there depending on the recording that are flattened off.

Treble: Well since they put the pinna to early it kinda stays the same all the way through to about 8khz is then it start to roll of slowly. It kept most of the songs actually quite open. instead of close off. With some hi hats of electronic music i had a little shock to be honest that it was sharp. Don’t think a lot of ppl gonna have problems with sibilance.

Keep in mind that the IEC711 Coupler has a resonant peak in and around 8k

Soundstage: like i kinda hinted to already it really gonna depends on how the track is recorded. if they master it with everything on the same volume it will show you that flat image as well. But on a good track i can safely say that the stage is average there more resolving sets on the market.

Technical: i can say the technicals aren’t the best and the custom BA’s that they all let make aren’t bad they're quite okay. they need to refinement ofc also wished there was a better DD inside. Does it do what they claim to do well kinda the mids are odd and quirky. Some details were most like in the song One More Light from Linkin Park there is a little background crackle that is being missed and half played back become more a enjoying then a detail of the artist.

All said and done. If you're in for an experiment this is a set to grab. To be honest it’s the first set from Xinhs that I can say it’s worth picking up. Good recorded track will sound fine to quite good. But there are also a few nitpicks. I still have the shell as a semi custom fit body. That is not gonna fit for anyone and the nozzle is quite odd and your tips slip all the back. It might have been a better idea to stick a metal nozzle on it. What they lack in today's market is the resolution specialty that the price they are asking for.
