1964 Ears Adel IEMs

Is ADEL worth a $300 price premium (say, $1200 iem non adel vs $1500 adel)?
Think you should ask that in the Empire Ears thread, 64 Audio and ADEL tech have parted ways. They now use their own APEX modules.

O_o Really?

That makes this so much more confusing
apex does a similar thing but for me the main differences are that:
For SQ: apex>adel
For pressure relief: adel>apex

yes , A12 is excellent. but i want to try tia drive also.
the price of all tia cm is too high .I dont want to spend too much money on it ,specially my A12 still good condition.

Not sure if you've seen my post in the other 64 Audio thread, I did share my review with a comparison of U12 to U12t, along with Trio and Fourte. Review is HERE.

Definitely a worthy upgrade from U/A12 to U/A12t

Considering purchasing an A12 from a fellow forumite who received sad news from 64Audio that the A12 wouldn't fit his ears. How big are they? If Shure SE846's fit my ears easily will I have any issues with the A12s fitting?

The A12 is a custom in ear not a universal so you would need to reshell it.

Thanks, I am aware of that :)

Concern is that body of A12 Ciem might be too large.

I have a U10 and I believe the U12 is larger.

This sounds bogus to me. Why would 64Audio take the time to build him a CIEM only to tell him it won't fit? They would know that the moment they received his ear impressions.

Pretty small actually
The Hibiki and TFZ are larger.

64 is pretty damn good at managing space. The U12 is small

EDIT: I know you are talking about an "A" but in general 64 does not waste any space

I have the A6's and have a pair of A12's being done at the minute and can't work out looking at the A6's how they do it, couldn't even imagine the idea of getting 18 drivers in, they must use CAD to determine if the ear impression is suitable without getting too big for the wearer. Totally baffling.
