Hi,  I just bought SR325iS from Headroom.  The SN is 5225 and the casings are silver in color.  Are these an older model?  Are the latest ones all gold colored?  Thanks

Old SR325i was gold.  "is" model was kind of a flat, matte Al.  Even newer "is" is polished chrome.

The gold 325i was the best looking one IMO.

Before the gold SR325i (limited edition) there were the silver 325. preceded by the black ones with pink drivers or HP1000 drivers. Six different variants so far and they don't all sound the same.

325is brushed aluminum and 325i gold are where it's at. In all seriousness, I wish I could do a side by side comparison of those two in particular.

Which is the 6th one? I can only count 5 (listed in order from oldest to newest):

Original SR325 - Black, old cylindrical housing, may have pink drivers

Updated SR325 - Silver (brushed), still with the old cylindrical housing

Limited Edition SR325i - Gold (brushed), new mushroom housing, created for Grado's 50th anniversary

SR325is - Silver (brushed), mushroom housing, new thick cables

Updated SR325is - Chrome, mushroom housing, thick cables

The chrome 325is has grown on me a bit.  I wasn't crazy about it when I first saw it, and I certainly won't be trading in my brushed aluminum version for it, but I guess it's really not that bad.  It's all about the sound after all.  I imagine it would get annoying constantly wiping finger prints off it though.
