I have Sennheiser PC350's. Yes yes, you can bash me to hell and back again for having them, but first know I got them at a massive steal of 95$ a few years ago, and they compare, driver wise, according to a Sennheiser rep to HD595's, but with most users reporting they end up around HD555 performance. Which is good enough for me, considering the mic has stunning quality, I would often get questions on what I was using as they hadn't heard such a clear mic before.(I mainly play games.)

However, I've always felt they needed "More", say to speak. I know about the Hero mod and hope to do it some day, but I always felt like my Soundcard wasn't giving it enough JUICE.

My current sound card is dead, so I am most likely going to pick this up at the awesome price it is right now:

Has no internal amp, like the USB models.

I'd be willing to shell 50-75$ for an Amp to drive the PC350's. They are 150Ohms as stated in the title, and I read many reviews of users with PC350's saying that after adding an amp, their lows and mids improved considerably and there was sharper detail.

You could look at the FiiO E10 (which is actually an amp/DAC and connects via USB, and will likely sound better than pure amp, due to the higher quality DAC) or the FiiO E11 which is just an amp, but has more power and is a higher quality amp than the E10's amp section.

Right, I forgot about that stupid design decision on FiiO's part (The whole possibility of the short and the inability to charge while playing). Thanks for pointing that out!

Now that we've set aside that I didn't think that through very well, I'm not really sure what else you could look at in that price range of the top of my head.

Yeah, I know, I had been looking at one, but I just wasn't sure.

Would it be enough for a 150Ohm headset? And what adapters would I need? the PC350 is 3.5mm, and then I'd need to plug it into the amp, then into my soundcard...and my microphone cable would surely need an extension cable because of this...wonder if such a thing exists.

If you're interested in tube sound, Bravo V2 is a nice little amp, you can find some topics about this amp here and at Rock Grotto forum.

99$ though.

Yes, you'll thank us later though. Save up $25 more. It'll be well worth it, and will drive any headphone that you may buy.
