Hi guys,

I recently purchased a Moondrop S8, my first chi-fi earphone, and I’m delighted with it as my recent review suggests. I’m now interested in other Chinese specialty makers, and recently became acquainted with the 7Hz i99. Since there isn’t a thread for this brand, I thought I would create one to enhance exposure as well as invite others to comment who have been intrigued by 7Hz’s two offerings.

I’m thinking strongly about blind buying an i99 (Linsoul has it in stock!) and if I do, I’ll write a review and post it in the Head Gear section.

My interest was sparked by BGGAR’s YouTube unboxing and follow up thoughts. It appears to be very well built with a fun tuning and sells for $480.

Update 5/26/20:

The black pair I ordered did not have the textured look as the above picture shows, rather, a shiny look. Still gorgeous, but I wanted to alert anyone interested. I will post pictures soon along with my initial observations ...

Is their slogan "you can feel it, not hear it"?

I have no idea since I’m totally new to the brand. But as I think about it, highly reproduced music is an emotional experience, and that means feeling it. I suppose if it is their slogan, it refers to the big bass performance the i99 purportedly has.

Haha. It's a unique experience. Nothing but subbass. No mids or highs. Maybe a bit of vocals at most.

Wouldn't that be creepy/ interesting?
Like Norah Jones meets Bisch Bosch by Scott Walker. Haha.

Have you listened to the i99 or i77 or are you going off BGGAR’s graph?

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to copy and paste images from YouTube, but here is BGGAR's graph comparing the Legend X to the i99:

Sorry JW -- it's my monkey mind that was tongue in cheek -- I did not listen to either nor did I check the graph. Though your thread did piqued my interest with the description of their sound target.

I'm getting tired of the same old harman. It's good to have balls.

Thanks for the encouragement. :beerchug: This virus has me stuck indoors, so I’m listening to music many hours a day, and of course, keeping up with my hobby of being a nymphoaudiophile ...

Here’s the 7Hz i77 (DD) which sells for $120. There’s a Pro version for $140, not sure about the difference since they both have identical specifications and aesthetics, but I presume the Pro has a more technical tuning. Four finish options:
