Hello, and excuse my ignorance, I am quite new to the world of high end audio gear.
I have a question about the 7th gen iPod classic, I consider the storage size to be ideal, as I currently have a library of around 30 gb of music, which I'm sure will grow, however my concern is whetehr I will be able to use a Fiio e17 external Dac with it, at least to listen to my music at home, on the roud I guess the cirrus logic chip found on the iPod will be fine, but I would like to use the e17 with it when I'm on a calmer place and I can listen to every detail on my music.
Thanks in advance.

No, the dac part of the e17 will not work with the iPod classic however you can still use it as an amp to drive headphones with higher impedance.

True, as none of the Fiio stuff is MFI with Apple.  But if you want to keep using the E17 with the 7th Gen Classic, then all you need is a LOD interconnect like the FiiO L5.
