On the audition list it goes.
I own the TC and have heard the MR, TC and 1266 several times, on the same gear (most recently, yesterday, at a local meet) and I can say, without hesitation, that I absolutely prefer the TC's tuning to the MR and the 1266. It just sounds right to my ears.

I think you asked about the sub-bass of the DZ. I haven't heard the DZ's yet (since they're just being released) but if they sound anything like the Diana TC or MR, you'll be very happy with it. It's not for bass heads, but if you want satisfying (but tasteful) amounts of sub-bass and bass that is textured and tight and complements the excellent vocals and treble, then I think you'll be happy. But, don't take anyone's word for it; put them on your audition list.

I know that Abyss gets a lot of criticism from some folks (and some of it might be deserved), but they make a damn good headphone. I am absolutely in love with the TC.

So I tried the new DZs at thursday.
The headband is a HUGE improvement, finally a comfortable Abyss.
Hopefully all Dianas get a revision to include the headband.

The rep told me these replace the TCs but couldn't answer wether the drivers are the Same. I was a little confused since the TCs are much more expensive.

Waiting for more info. However if these have the TC drivers or if the TCs receive the same headband, I might give them a chance in an at home audition.

Either way, that's the direction I like to see Abyss go!

I tried bass ported pads with my V2 and it transformed it into another experience. But amount of bass was too much i kept focusing on hearing bass notes only. I switched back to leather pads back. I have one onyx and one black pads in addition to black bass ported. What am i gonna do with these pads xD it was supplied with my second hand purchase from eBay.
