I am looking into buying quality pair of headphones for portable use. I travel and weight lift a lot, which would be the primary use of the headphones. After several hours of researching and reading reviews on Head-fi I think I have narrowed down my selections to the following group:
The two I prefer most are in bold; however, I am looking for advice on the sound quality and durability of these headphones as I am quite new to this. My only real requirements are:
My music library is dominated by alternative rock and 90s punk rock. I do listen to quite a bit of underground hip-hop/rap as well.
Any advice on which product to buy would be incredibly helpful and I hope that I have provided enough information to help you help me!

- fairly compact
