Has anyone actually tried this combination, and if so, how was it?

It seems that AKG K-1000 need a really powerfull amplification, i know it's about 2x3W / 120 Ohms... (3000 Mw / 120 Ohms by channel).

Just take a look at the specifications of your amp and compare yourself...

Ok thats pretty unhelpful, but whatever.

I don't have any tube-amp, according the Little Dot MKVI specs it will fit easily with the K-1000, but i can't say nothing about the sound, probably very good and with multiple possibilities because with "tube-rolling" you can tune your sound as you want

I appreciate your help.

I contacted littledot and they say the MKVI and MKVII are specifically for the K1000 (the MKVIII is not).

So let me change the question just a bit:

Has anyone tried the K1000 with the Littledot MkVI or MKVII ?

I think that both amps should be able to power those headphones just fine.

Great synergy with Little Dot MKVI and drives the K1000 with authority in high gain setting.
