I have owned Focal Elears and now own Focal Clears. Love the headphones for the most part but think they might not match perfectly with my Burson Conductor V2. Certainly doesn't sound bad with the clears but have found the amp can sound a bit congested with the clears. Fair enough as I mainly use the Burson for Planars. Any suggestions as to sub 1000AUD amps that pair well with the clear would be greatly appreciated.

Any amp suggestions would be appreciated. Was looking at the drop + cavalli liquid carbon x. Any ideas on what that would be like or information tubes and tube hybrids for the focal clears and elears would be greatly appreciated.

Focal Clears are rich in treble. So tube amps sound really well with them. I am running a Liquid Platinum with my clears and its a bliss. However, my favorite pairing with my clear is my Hagerman Audio Tuba tube amp. It really tames the high frequencies and enhances the mids for a extremely 3d sound, which already compliments the clear's holographic sound signature. If i were you, i would research into warm sounding tube amps.
