So, I'm getting pretty bored with my music collection right now. Anybody got idea's on a good album that's just came out? I like all music except for rock(I like alt. rock like Radiohead and Animal Collective though.)

Ever listened to Fat Jon? I picked up his most recent album for something like $15 dollars on ebay.
I find his music to be a great listening experience.

How about some free artists? I'll put your "all genres" claim to the test.. My tastes are pretty broad. I like pretty much everything except Crystal Castles... and generic BS like breaking ben/nickelback, etc.

only one album I really cared for this year for HIp-Hop, that is Nas's Life is Good

You get what I can easily identify as an embodiment of true Hip-Hop, except for like one song

Thanks! I do like Death Grips.. I guess I shouldn't have said albums that have just came out, because I've never really looked into the 80's. I'll look at all the bands mentioned, thanks!

Awesome, some of it is really lo-fi.. and a lot of it will probably be hit or miss.. When going through, don't feel bad for deciding you hate something in the first 30 seconds. That's just how it is sometimes :) I definitely think there are some worthwhile artists in there though... I'll update with some more here shortly. I'm just scrolling through my library and picking out artists I remember being free. If I was suggesting all types of music... we'd be in trouble. Maybe consider making a last.fm, that's a decent way to find new artists. http://www.last.fm/user/Langley65

My favorite 80s albums are:

Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
Black Flag - Damaged
Dead Kennedys - FrankenChrist
Descendents - Milo Goes To College
Talking Heads - Speaking In Tongues (Probably one of the best mastered albums in my music collection)
Husker Du - Zen Arcade
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Ancient Future - Quiet Fire
Beastie Boys - Licensed To Ill
Living Color - Vivid
N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
Nirvana - Bleach
Pixies - Doolittle

Among others.. Man, there was a lot of good music in the 80s.

This group broke up. What a shame. Punk.

hip-hop indie pop electronic stuff
http://tvgirl.bandcamp.com/

Definitely the best thing to ever come out of lindenwood college (a local college in st. louis)
http://hugevolcanoes.bandcamp.com/

Chipt00nz
http://saskrotch.bandcamp.com/album/ill-have-you-naked-by-the-end-of-this-rom

Ambient stuff I really like

If you like Radiohead and Animal Collective, my immediate thoughts were Django Django and Alt-J, both have released great debut albums this year.

I concur with this 100%. Plus, there was lots of other amazing hippity hops out this year, as well.
