Thinking of pulling the trigger on another TOL DAP Either NWWM1Z , Lotoo Paw gold Touch or N6II. If new Sony is less than a year away, I might just put the money aside until then. ????

@Vitaly2017 was at the Canjam NY2020, he wrote that he askd sony engineers about a sucessor in the near future. He said the engineers said No plans in the next 2 years

Yep Sony engineers said its not even in the plans of sony to release new dap!
So its a dead thing no successors for 2 years probably.

Wm1z and sp2000.

I really didn't got along with n8. Lpgt was like 1z but still behind

sp2000 has 2.5 bal correct ?
DAP used on the go so 2.5 is unacceptable regardless of SQ

I have a WM1A, but 128GB even with a 1.0TB card doesnt fit my 1.23TB of music, unless i downconvert all DSD and Hi-res FLACs to CD Quality flac

Wm1z is so strong that it still beats the ass of them.

Hey I heard dmp and I still preferred my lovely wm1z!

So guys get wm1z and maybe in 2 or 3 years there be a new completely technology as by now just rereleasing same stuff sony arent like that see.


Of course this is not 100% confirmed but sony engineer told me to not even hope about it . I was kinda puzzled by that answer.

I guess 1z is the king of all daps then.

Get 2 x sd cards and swap them !

It doesn't have same sony in the house custom parts...

Sound wise was really good but different and not as engaging as 1z.
1z screams quality lpgt was stil second place.

1z is Japan technology its sony secret weapon, man it just a perfection of a dap in all senses. Rest is just very good.

I really didn't got along with n8.

I only use it from the SD card. The SQ is all I am after UI is second. Not streaming anything. I use the Hibby Remote . N8 is quite temperamental and I could see someone not getting along with it. But I have been married for 24 years so I am used to temperamental outbursts ...
