Arcam rHead Class-A Analogue Headphone Amplifier
Jun 19, 2016 at 7:27 PM Post #16 of 221
Hello, I'm game. I've been on a number of these tours and they are always fun.

I imagine that you will need to have some selection criteria for your candidates and a history of reviewing would be helpful.

I suggest telling people to reply with the following information (I've filled in mine), and stipulate that a review is expected on HeadFi in the Headgear forum:

THANKS for suggestions, will follow through

Thanks, will be in touch to discuss. All suggestions welcome as this will be our first Tour. UK first followed by USA

I previously help organize the Obravo tour that people like @glassmonkey and @Takeanidea participated in. Here's a link to the thread : http://www.head-fi.org/t/797212/obravo-erib2a-uk-tour

*oops accidentally press enter before done.

Of course the tour could be tuned to be more of what your team wants.

REVIEW TOUR DRAFT INSPIRED BY TRAWLING HEAD-FI

All suggestions welcome  - Cheers Robert for Arcam

ARCAM RHEAD REVIEW TOUR JULY 2016

Arcam is looking looking for serious listeners to participate in a review tour for our new rHead Class-A Headphone amp. Mainly people who have already posted product reviews and probably use over the head headphones for their main listening, Sennheiser HD800 / 650. Hi-Fi Man, Audeze, etc etc. Happy have IEM feedback too. If you have comparable headphone amps that would be great.

This was kindly suggested by glassmonkey

Please reply to this thread to be considered for review tour. In addition, please provide your city location. By replying to this thread, you are agreeing to the term and conditions:

Terms and Conditions:

To ensure a reasonable timing of the program, each member will be allotted one week with the rHead before shipping it to the next participant. Each participant will be responsible for their own onward shipping costs, which means providing their personal information to another member. Any postal method is acceptable, but a tracking number must be provided.

Remember that this is a loan unit and will be used by others.

At the end of the trial, the participant will have 3 weeks to provide formal impressions in the form of a Head-fi review. (location TBA)

The loan rHead unit may not be disassembled for any reason. If any problems arrive with a loaner unit, a replacement will be sent out.

FIRST TOUR WILL BE UK - We would like for everybody to have an opportunity to participate, but at this moment tours are limited to North America / Canada and UK only. We will do our best to accommodate other regions if there is enough interest.

Candidates will be selected within 2 weeks time.

Glad this is getting started up! Of course I agree to the terms and conditions. Are @TheOneInYellow, @Middy, @Ithilstone or @pedalhead interested? Don't forget to update details, yourself, @Takeanidea. Also, if you want to attract more applicants, I'd suggest putting UK and USA tour in the thread title and seeing if an admin will help get it on the front page.

We have just set a date for a Head-Fi meet in Denver (CO, USA) for the 27th of August. Maybe it would be possible to have the rHead here for that meet during its USA tour to give even more people the possibility to listen to your new product? We will have plenty of different sources and headphones available that day to test different configurations.
