So i've been looking for some good portable headphones, and this one is good to my needs,  they are closed, not to big, durable and isolates very well,i mostly listen to rock/metal, so i was wondering if the hd 25 ii are good for this kind of music, if not tell me some advices in a $0- $250 range, thank you

Aside from the absolutely massive soundstage difference, I sometimes prefer the sound of my HD25-1 II's over my HD650's for rock music.  They have quicker, punchier bass.  They complement each other very well, IMHO.
 
To be honest they aren't very comfortable at first.  Once the pads have had time to shape to your ears they are just fine though.  They are basically indestructible too, which is great for travel.
