I'm looking for a set of headphones that offers very little to no head-clamping and have heard that the ATH-AD700s are very comfy in that respect.
At the moment I do most of my gaming, movie watching and a fair bit of music listening with Dolby Hadphone from my Xonar D2 soundcard. Dolby Headphone can make even closed headphones sound quite open and spacious. On occasions, with the right set of headphones I've been fooled into thinking my speakers are on.
I hear that part of the ATH-AD700's large soundstage is due to the angled drivers, giving an 'out of head' type of experience. I'm a little concerned that Dolby Headphone on these might result in a rather distorted soundstage, compared to a set of cans with non-angled drivers.
Can anyone who's tried the ATH-AD700s with DH comment on the expereince?
