Hey guys. I just updated my 2011 Macbook Pro to (unofficial) Catalina as well as convert my drive from HFS+ to APFS. So far everything has been working fine and fluently, except Audirvana. Audirvana is a huge laggy mess, even on High Sierra it was but now it's worse. It lags on the album view everytime I scroll through the library. It plays and upsamples to DSD just fine, but it really lags on the library even more than on High Sierra. I deleted the cache and everything but nothing changed. What is the problem? I have 16GB of RAM and an SSD, and every other program I use, even the likes of Premiere Pro, Audition Photoshop and Final Cut run perfectly fine without any issues.

Same thing happened to me on my Windows version of Audirvana. Strange since it runs on a newer version of hardware than my 2013 MBP.
I planned to contact the developer but never follow it through until now. MBP is much more joyous to be used anyway..

I figured out why Audirvana was so slow. A lot of my album arts were very big (2000x2000 or 3000x3000, one was even 6000x6000 that just made my mac freeze for 2 minutes) so I converted all the album covers above 1200x1200 all to 1000x1000. Now Audirvana runs much better now (albeit still laggy a little.) Though I never had this problem before switching to SSD and APFS.
