We have several audio related exhibits in a year, one of them is this AV-fest. Mainly consist of domestic audio visual makers like SONY or Victor, as well as some small garage company.
Hence the show is not so oriented to highend audio systems, audio visual systems rather. such as large TV or theater systems.
At Victor, here is a demo of HP-FX500.

This is an actual diaphragm of FX500 and thin wood sheet.
I took a brief listening on the demo unit with my iPod nano(no amping).
SQ is very good, highs are crisp and clear, bass is huge. It's not muddie and instrument separation is good and articulate. seems like a good transient there. I think this is good for the price, but this is not so warm or gentle, I did not hear sweet wood resonance like other wood housing cans.
Another eye catcher is this funny looking speakers.

Both of speaker cone and cabinet is made of bamboo, vertically projection makes the sound stage wider.
This is the SONY organic electroluminescent(OELD) TV, picture quality is amazing as if it were the fine prints are moving. price is also amazing, 200000 yen for 11 inch TV.

click to see dancing movie. The sequence is programmable and downloadable. I think this will hit US market this spring.
This is a Pioneer flagship AV multi amp LX90.
Interesting thing is, this is able to extract digital signals from iPod. Similar to WADIA iTransporter.

a stuff told me they use an authentication chip provided by Apple. So I think this employs the same method.
this is dedicated iPod digital port.
