New Head-Fier
Hey everyone,
I'm looking to get an affordable ($500-1500) and decently portable binaural recording setup. I'd like to record a variety of sounds through headphones and two-channel systems, and also want to experiment with live music, random sounds, and ASMR.
I wish I could get the Neumann KU 100 but, of course, it's way out of my price range. I've been reading about the miniDSP EARS, 3dio's Free Space models, and the Binaural Enthusiast B1-E head. They're all a bit pricey so I'm nervous to base my purchase just on specs and ASMR YouTubers.
Does anyone here have experience with any of those?
I've attempted to make binaural recordings in the past with a Sennheiser Ambeo headset and a pair of lav mics, and would now prefer to avoid options that require attaching to a human head...but I'm open to suggestions!
