I'm looking for a good pair of IEM's that i can wear in bed with my ipad and my wife cant hear the noise so she can sleep at night. I had a pair of Klipsch s2 and they worked great, not the best sounding I've heard but my wife couldn't hear them at all.
I just bought a pair of sony MDREX210 and they are very average. The bass seems overpowering and the mids and treble seem muted to me. Also my wife can still hear them which is a deal breaker for me. So I will be returning them.
I have the Shure SR840 cans and love them and the sound, so if there is any sound signature close to that for IEMs under 50 I'd be more inclined for that. I have been looking up some reviews and it seems like the Soundmagic E10 might be the way to go but I cant seem to find anywhere that talks about sound leakage? My primary concern is to not leak sound so as to bother the wife.
