I just picked up some Focal Utopias and plan on using my Schiit Lyr 2 amp for a while, so I'm looking to upgrade my stock tubes in there until I have enough to upgrade to my next amp.
I know there are some Lyr 2 tube comparison threads out there, which I have read, but it seems like those focus primarily on rare, "Holy Grail", or just plain expensive tubes.
If I'm looking to pick up some tubes at <~$60 per tube ($120/matched pair), does anyone have any recommendations? Looking for something warm to balance out the Utopias, and the compatible Lyr 2 tube types are: 6DJ8, 6922, ECC88, 6N23P, 6BZ7, and 6N1P.
My setup is Schiit Modi 2 DAC > Schiit Lyr 2 Amp > Focal Utopias. Anything else that I missed or that would be helpful?
