Hello,
I damaged one of the switches on iFi iDSD (filter switch). I needed to open the device and when I was puting it back together I broke the small switch :frowning2: I tried to aks iFi for new switch but they said I need to buy new PCB. For device this old is 216€ for new PCB not good idea. Can someone help me to find this switch somewhere to buy? I tried aliexpres, ebay, but it is hard to find this exactly switch. Maybe it will be possible to replace this switch with some similar. It is really small, like 2mm height.
Thanks for help.

Mouser or Digikey would be better places to check. It would be under passive components, switches, and you'd need to select the number of positions and throws, so you'd need to carefully desolder it from the board and test with a multimeter. You may even find a part number on the other side if you're lucky.

Hello,
I bought ifi used from ebay and I the previous owner probably smoked 100 cigarettes a day because the device stinked like full ashtray :/ Even the rubber legs was not clear but brown. So bought new rubber legs and disassembled the device to clean the metal parts which helps alot and the odor is gone. But when I reassemlbe the device and was puting back the buttons I broke one :frowning2: It has tiny pin in midle of the button and this part cracks and it is so tiny that I cant glue it back. Luckily it is the "filter switch" which I dont use at all because it is set on "Bit perfect" all the time.

Could you find the replacement switch? I have the same problem with the Power Mode Switch

The switches are either ALPS or equivalent chinese knockoffs. I really think iFi should provide the part numbers on demand.

Here the list:

IEMatch switch:
Alps Alpine SSSS820501
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Alps-Alpine/SSSS820501?qs=N5Jky1br14OXv4vkkV%2B%2B4A==

Filter/Power mode switch:
Alps Alpine SSSS711403
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Alps-Alpine/SSSS711403?qs=fMKjfF2mFoiBMPikGIG/JQ==

Polarity:
Alps Alpine SSSS710607
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Alps-Alpine/SSSS710607?qs=6EGMNY9ZYDTXHzgEWhg%2BTw==

Line out mode:
Alps Alpine SSSS820201
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Alps-Alpine/SSSS820201?qs=4nKZKRgDHlnI2QoAHm%2BpWA==

This needs SMT soldering, probably the best choice for that these days are smartphone repair shops that actually solder and work on PCB's.

This is very cool of you - especially considering you're one of very few that might know the answer, here.

No problem. A customer should not be hit with a huge bill because a small part is broken and have the information how to get it done locally withheld. That's not cricket.

God... I've been periodically returning to the search for this damned IEmatch switch for almost everyone for a year now. I looked through almost all of AliExpress, searched for photos in Google and just in the browser. And all because of Ifi's pseudo secrecy and refusal to give JUST the part number (is this alien technology?). As a result, because of this, I had to amputate this switch and solder it in one position, I have been sitting like this for almost a year now.
Man, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

Just replaced the new plastic part for Filter, Power mode and Polarity switches with out soldering, just pull out the old one and push back the new one.

Maybe I'll replace IEM Match in the future, but right now I have it soldered fixed on Ultra Setting position for CIEM usage and it's working great.
