I'm thinking about purchasing a Burson Conductor 3 Performance. I don't have any way of demoing it first. However, I have heard the Monolith THX AAA 788 DAC/Amp and the Schiit Asgard. Please tell me what the Burson sounds like compared to these 2 amps. I will be using the amp with a Sennheiser HD8XX. Thanks in advance.

I upgraded from the THX 789 to the Burson Soloist 3X Performance. If it helps you, to me, the Burson has a slightly warmer sound and adds some depth to the stage. On the Arya, vocals felt more lifelike and I could better visualize where instruments were placed. But the 789 is roughly $200 used and the Soloist is more like $700. Was it worth the price difference? I don't think so. But everyone will have their opinion.
