Traveling to Tokyo, and Japan pretty much for the first time, within the next few months and will be dedicating a day or 2 for headphone testing (and lets be honest, most likely buying :beerchug:). Akihabara seems to be the place to go since I will be staying relatively close.

Here is the "problem", I don't know Japanese, is this gong to be a problem when trying buy stuff?
Or is a "local guide" going to make the process much smoother

It won't be hard to buy anything. There are always sales people hovering around and all you need to do is point at what you want.

Thanks for the reply. :gs1000smile:

I have also been looking at some of the second hand listings on e-earphones.
Do I need to ask for them? or are they displayed as well?

That's a good question, I didn't go in that particular store but did go into some other used audio shops and they had used gear in glass cases and counters, I would assume you can ask to look at them and they'd pull them out for you. Again, just point and they'll get it most of the time lol.
