Chord Electronics - CES Launch Extravaganza

I believe Mojo's constraints are targeted size/cost and power/heat dissipation, not so much number of taps.  Hugo was built with an earlier generation FPGA, and updating its tech could increase Hugo's capability, feature set, and battery life.

Yeah, Mojo already has double the TAPs as Hugo, but it runs at half speed for equivalent performance to Hugo.

You can read the spoiler in this post to see what has been said about the TAPs of Mojo vs Hugo:

Jan 5th is my birthday so it's going to be sweet when Chord reveals their 3 announcements!

I'm guessing a micro SD-Card add-on module for Mojo with basic control, small single-line screen. Then a forthcoming Android/iDevice App that communicates via Bluetooth for enhanced playing.

Shame release is at CES. The Mojo unveiling was an amazing event that I was lucky enough to attend along with fellow forumer Duncan :)

My doubt is, if I should invest in a Chord Hugo now, or wait!

My money is on a continuum transfunctioner

That sounds like it was developed with the help of the Star Trek engineering team.
Presumably an infinite number of TAPs.

...and what makes you think Star Trek engineers are the only people who can create an infinite number of filter taps?

For all you know, Rob might have plans to conquer the known universe with taps!

The device they are introducing will the the Chord FRED (Frequency Response Enhancement Device). The world's first ultra high fidelity hearing aid / high end IEM in one.
