Been charging the mojo with a blue flashing battery light for aaaaages in the laptop, never once going into desktop mode. Is the battery effed?
Unlikely. It's probably that your laptop isn't putting out enough power. Have you tried a dedicated charger?

If you're charging it from a laptop, it's just getting a drip-feed. IIRC it needs at least 2Amps, but I think most laptops only put out something like 0.5A

I just tested 192k over optical. Worked fine, correct rate color, sounded great. I too though there was a 96k limit, but 192k works in the surface.
I read that the Mojo2 does support 192k but there are often issues with fibre and compatibility that were giving Chord support issues on other products so they simply state the spec as 96k to eliminate the hassle.

I see, that makes a lot of sense. I wasn't aware it did support 192k till I read about it a few pages ago. Thanks.
The Chord gear is designed to support 192k, but the optical component suppliers will only support 96k, so Chord are now obliged to now only guarantee 96K.
The full rationale is contained in this post.

Huh. No idea. Useful to know. Based on the quoted PM, it sounds like the answer is that it ultimately depends on the cable.

Yes, the Hama cable discussed previously gives me 192k others don’t.

I thought computers match the charging needed for whatever device it recognised. But that solves the issue. A phone charger would be too much, they are 5v I think? I only got the micro usb plug to normal usb when I bought the unit.

I bought it second hand, was it meant to come with a dedicated charger? Or just grab a 2amp?
