Hello Head-Fi!

I have a bit of a dilemma. I just bought an older NOS DAC that only supports coaxial and TOSLINK input. However, as far as I know, I only have USB output on my computer.

What would be the "easiest and cheapest without sacrificing sound quality" way to remedy this situation?

Sounds great!

Would that degrade the sound quality in any way or otherwise hinder the performance of the DAC?

Also, I just wanted to make sure. This would work for my setup, right?

Computer -> (USB to TOSLINK) -> This Converter -> (TOSLINK to TOSLINK) -> NOS DAC -> (RCA to RCA) -> Amp

()'s being the cables.

Thanks,
Leon

I haven't heard this unit yet, I can't comment on the SQ...but bang for bucks will be high nevertheless

Ah. Got it.

I'm a dummy when it comes to electronics, but since USB and TOSLINK are both digital connections, this converter shouldn't technically actually affect the sound quality, right?

Thanks,
Leon
