Colorfly C10 - Colorfly Is Back!

I was just given the C10 as a gift and, using the LO, love the sound; it's buttery smooth.

I got to ask, though, as I try to figure out this little device, is there anyway to make it play through all songs randomly, i.e. shuffle and not just one folder?

nope. shuffle available only into folder. also there is repeat all, repeat one, and OFF(plays everything through folders one by one).

oh btw don’t use LO with headphones, it could broke them.

P.S. the only way to play all your music in shuffle mode - is to put all albums into one folder....

:relieved: I know, I have the line-out connected to an amp.

It's a wonderful sounding, pretty looking DAP with odd inconveniences. The controls are strange, for example; when the screen is off, I can't pause the music.

Anyway, thank you for the answer.

which amp your using C10 with?!

i have this idea to use C10 with a proper amp instead of separate DAC and PC..skipping windows audio issues all together, or at least as temporary setup until i could afford a good DAC.

I've been using it with the Tralucent T1, which I'm not sure is made anymore.

You've been using the C10 as a DAC/AMP for your PC?

i downloaded the last firmware from here:
http://www.colorfly.net/downloadc10.html
but it seems that link doesn't work anymore, here is another one from my files...not 100% sure if the latest:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjNIXtkJ38E6gQIYI5JYO7xXqGLA

use this software to sort the files on memory alphabetically as the player itself only sort them from oldest file added to newest(descending), took less than 20min to sort 64gb micro-SD:
http://www.luisrios.eti.br/public/en_us/projects/visual_yafs/
http://www.luisrios.eti.br/public/en_us/projects/visual_yafs/downloads/visual_yafs.jar (download link)

you don’t have to. I have a Mac too. you have the latest firmware on your Classic10 -so there’s nothing to do:)

it won’t let you see any firmware if it’s the same build. and seems like there won’t be any newest....so just forget about it:)

just try to enjoy it as is.

btw, may I ask you, why do you want to reinstall OS?

P.S. I wish I could try to install the very first version - it has B&W interface:)
unfortunately seems like there’s no users having original firmware file. *SAD*

For some reason the OS kept freezing when I played one particular album so I thought maybe the firmware was buggy.. but then, after some troubleshooting, I realized that the photo for the album art was the actual cause of the problem. So now it's back to :gs1000smile:

To run yafs I need to install Java, I think.. but isn't Java a security risk?

try to delete artworks first:) and every other non audio file in your album folder. Ive had many albums with artworks -they're all kept freeze until I figure out why. so I deleted every picture, and freezes are gone.
it helps a lot. if not-then it’s the album issue. I also have had few albums. they were something like "broken", so I re-downloaded them from the web and it was fixed.
