I have no idea what universals are out there now days. I am wanting to get my mom started a new set of uiems when I give her my AK se100. I have given her iems over the years but stuff like shure se100 and nothing too special. If westone was still around I'd give her a pair of w60, but alas they are not. I live the sound of my westone es60 and want something that sounds similar. I want everything to sound amazing.

Looks like there are still Westones available on B&H? And they appear to be coming out with new models, with some of the older UM Pro models on sale.
Looks like they've been purchased by Lucid Audio (owners of Etymotic). Huh, interesting. Hopefully that's a good thing for them. I love my UM Pro 50.
