I've decided to go custom route out of curiosity since there are more affordable options out there.  I've been doing some researching, and leaning toward Fisher molding my TF10, SE530 or getting 1964 to make customs for me, since they are in the states.

If anybody have experience from Fisher's customs and 1964's, your opinions are graciously appreciated.  I need to know if the price of 1964-Q are worth it over the T's.  Price/performance really worth it?  Let me know if the increase in sound quality is that significant.  I have SM3 right now, are these customs much of an upgrade?

When they typically demo hardware for customs, they would use comply tips for obvious reason, how significant is sound quality difference from these demo setups versus actual customs?

Thank you for you help.

From all accounts the 1964-T and 1964-Q have completely different sound signatures so it is up to you which one you like.

The 1964-T is $350 right now so I find them to be a good value and better than any universal iem I have ever heard including the TF10. I have my doubts about reshelling and if it will improve the SQ but I haven't done it so don't know.

I will be getting my reshelled TF10 back from Kozee soon (but no ETA) and have a stock TF10 for A/Bing.  I am not a big fan of the TF10 sound, but am reshelling because of the low cost and opportunity to see what the differences are between a stock and reshelled IEM and will be posting my results a few weeks after receiving my reshelled TF10, if you can wait.

Edit:  Just added SE530 as an option to customize.

Looking forward to your comparison average_joe.
