Hi All,

Here in Oz, the two most expensive (stock) headphones are the HD800 (if and when it goes on sale) and the Edition 8 - I was surprised to note that the RRP for the D7000 is several hundred dollars less than those two - still over 2K AUD, but I wondered whether anyone here had spent enough time with both to comment on which is the 'better' headphone ?

HD800 headphones are very suitable for watching movies.
For monitoring, I use the Beyerdynamic DT770

And Beyerdynamic DT770 is better repaired

Thats a pretty funny statement there. The dt770 would not be any where in my stable for reference monitoring. Why are you even mentioning monitoring and mentioning the dt770 when neither were brought up?

SOrry i came off as a bit of an ass. I reread your post. The hd800 are a great monitoring headphone. The dt770 are quite boosted in the bass and not quite what most would chose as a monitori g headphone. Most would choose something more balanced with a flatter curve. Something closer to the t1 or dt1990.. dont get me wrong, i like the 770 for listening to music and most everyfhing else.
