Just received my new D7000 today, and guess what? The left driver isn't working. Awesome.

Has anyone used cups made by Martin Audio? I am just about to buy some Bubinga cups off Lawton Audio (which I waited almost 5 months for) but I've just seen the Martin Audio website. His cups not only look much nicer than Lawton's but they are more than half as cheap.

With this system, everything is so clear, yet smooth.  The bass is punch and never loose.  Female jazz vocals never sound this sweet to me.  Even not-so-delicate pop songs sound very natural.  I think HA160 and DACPort LX do excellent job of bring out the best of the Denon: nice lively natural sound.  I would highly recommend this combo to anyone who likes to maximize the sound signature of D7000.

If you had the budget for it, I wouldn't have said to go for the DACmini instead.

I'm running my D2000s off of that right now and it's phenomenal.  I can only guess that the D7000 would excel as well.

Do new D7000s have the same cloth cable as the D2000s did? I'm considering buying one-but that would certainly be a huge drawback in my book. Also, is it detatchable?

The cable on the D7000 is better than the D2000 and is not detachable. You do need to take care with it as it can get taNGLED. mY wOO STAND IS PERFECT FOR THEM. i USE THEM MORE AND MORE EVERY DAY. Super headphone. (sorry for caps). It is cloth covered but  it light and sounds great justt use caution with it or it could crimp

Frank-I've been meaning to PM you. I know you've gotten rid of your planars-so what do you consider your best headphone-the T1 or the D7000? How would you describe their differences, and what respective amps are you using with them. I've been wanting to try both of these-but I'm sure my AGD C-2.1 would fare better with the Denons. How did your m-Stage handle the T1s? Man that's a lot of questions-feel free to PM me if you want-and thanks!
