I would appreciate help in finding an audiophile closed headphone.   I read a little about the Denon AH-D7100, but don't know much about it and if there is anything out there with better sonic qualities.  I know everything is subjective, but I've learned a lot from members since joining this forum.  My budget is $2,000 max.

forget the d7100. try to find either a used d7000, you may also consider the th 600 at price japan, or the th 900 both by fostex. if you have a 2000 budget, then you already know that you can have a pair of fostex th 900 for much less than 2000$ at price japan.
 
th 900 and forget the rest. really. or try to find a denon d7000 for sale on the used market.

I looked at the Japan website & the prices are really great.   I'll first demp them, but was wondering if there is anything to be cautious about purchasing from that website.    Do they take credit cards, or how do you pay them?
