Yes, theyre like the ones on tbe older hifimans. I had to file down the baffle a tad to grt them to fit inside the cups but it didnt take much

Im in SF bay area Would it be a good idea to order replacement plug part myself and then have someone locally install it for me? If so, can someone link plug part for me Thanks!!

Anyone have a spare 7-3 BISS2 and 7-4 Screw that holds the earcup to the headband? Or know where to find them? Unfortunately Denon no longer carries those parts and the screw just stripped on mine :frowning2:. If not, anyone wanting to purchase a Denon AH-D7000 off of me? They are my favorite pair of headphones which is going to make it hard to let go.

Edit: as can be seen, I still have all the parts including the cap. Just need the 1 trivial screw/biss piece to reattach to the headband!

Just a curious question; are all the parts between D2000/5000/7000 interchangeable?

Other than the internal audio electronics and earcup materials (wood vs plastic), yes I believe so. I know 100% that the headband and earcup to headband parts are all interchangeable as I spoke with Denon service about it.

greetings, i have a denon 9200, and i am curious to know if there are recommended replacement pads, i know changing the pads can affect the sound, but i would like to pads that are bit bigger in size. Any good recommendations that will not affect the sound negatively, like loss in bass or mids become more distant

which is the best way to get rid of the silver painting from the d2000?
i've got an old pair and it doesnt looks fresh anymore.

@hemipowered007
your modded Denon D2000 looks awesome! but the custom connectors are way toooo dangerous for my sensible nerves :wink:
are these smc connectors the only/best option for a D2000 cup?

ask Fostex.

many parts from the fostex th610 should be identical.

Hi There

I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong thread! I can't really find any other active threads about these headphones. I have a pair of Denon AH-D2000 headphones that I purchased years ago. They are not in particularly good condition - the pads and headband are flaking, the cable has seen better days, and one of the sides of the headphone doesn't produce any sound (although I suspect that the driver is fine and it is just a cable issue). Currently they are just gathering dust; I cannot find anywhere that offers repair services and I don't really have the time or inclination to learn to fix them. Do you guys have any advice? I'm actually just trying to get them into adequate shape to sell - I figured that if I could spend $30 on a new set of pads and a headband and then get them fixed affordably and sell them for $150-200 it would all be worth it. I'd also be totally open to selling for parts (hence posting in this thread!).

Chris, the same thing happened to my Denon D2000

I attempted to repair them unsuccessfully. They reached their end of life :frowning2: ... I replaced them with Fostex TH610 and I love em.
